Abstract

This article analyzes the role of dynamic capabilities in digital transformation of SMEs. Indeed, faced with intensifying competition and technological change, SMEs must develop capabilities that enable them to adapt quickly to their environment. In this context, the objective of this study is to identify the key dynamic capabilities necessary for the success of the digital transformation process. Through a review of the literature, supplemented by a case study of a Moroccan SME in the information systems sector, this research highlights four key capabilities. Detection, learning, integration, and coordination. The study shows that these capabilities foster organizational adaptation, innovation, and improved competitiveness among SMEs. The results also emphasize that dynamic capabilities constitute a factor in performance and strategic evolution within the context of digital transformation. This analysis thus contributes to a better understanding of the organizational mechanisms necessary for the successful digital transformation of SMEs.
