Abstract

Educational institutions are currently undergoing a profound transformation driven by digital disruption, the rise of artificial intelligence, and heightened global competition, forcing them to rethink their core value logic. Drawing on Dynamic Capabilities Theory, this study examines how these institutions can deeply reconfigure their structures. It posits that strategic vision alone is insufficient to guarantee Business model innovation (BMI) unless it is deeply coupled with organizational agility. Consequently, this research addresses the following central question: How do the dynamic capabilities of educational institutions influence their Business model innovation?

By mobilizing organizational agility as a key mediating mechanism, this paper provides a critical literature review and introduces an innovative conceptual framework. Furthermore, it delivers a robust methodological protocol including multi-item measurement scales designed to facilitate subsequent quantitative empirical validation. Ultimately, this work addresses the structural tensions between institutional rigidity and innovation imperatives, offering strategic pathways to ensure the long-term sustainability and relevance of educational institutions.
