Abstract

Today, Morocco is facing a structural water crisis threatening its food security and hampering its socio-economic development. This is mainly due to climate change, population growth, and the limits and weaknesses of water strategies and policies in the kingdom. Without proper management and distribution of water resources, this situation is likely to worsen and lead to the depletion of those resources. Faced with this situation, it is essential to analyze the current water situation and to evaluate the way of management and distribution of water resources, in order to highlight the achievements made in this regard and to raise the strengths and weaknesses of the actions undertaken in this context in order to make recommendations that will enhance resilience and rationalization in the use of our water resources.
