Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a transformative and pervasive force across industries and societies. Yet, the underrepresentation of women in AI leadership positions continues to undermine its inclusive and ethical development. This article investigates the strategic importance of female leadership in AI through an interdisciplinary lens. It highlights how women contribute to inclusive innovation, ethical decision-making, and balanced governance. The discussion also addresses structural barriers—such as gender stereotypes, lack of mentorship, and institutional biases—while identifying actionable solutions including mentorship, leadership training, and diversity-oriented policies. Promoting female leadership in AI is not only a matter of equity but a prerequisite for sustainable and responsible technological progress.
